We travel often and this stay was below average. When we arrived the man working was sitting in the dining area watching tv where he yelled to me "what do you need" to which i replied...i was there to check in. Obviously annoyed...he came out to the front desk to tell me my room wouldn't be ready till 3...even without checking anything... I asked if my kids could swim in the meantime and he told me no. I understand if that is policy but his delivery was cold and rude. We left for a few hours and returned around 2:30. At 2:30... a different rude, annoyed employee was at the front desk. I asked if my room was ready to which she replied "do you see a key on your app?" i said no..to which she replied "then it's not ready" without even looking up at me. During the visit we used the pool. No pool towels available so we used the room towels. Went to the front desk to ask for 5 towel for showering to which a lady told me that 5 towels is a lot and she would need to log them. Assuming i wanted to steal them? Pool was fine...had a huge puddle in the middle of the tables filled with dirty water.. no towels available. The kids still enjoyed the time swimming. Room was fine and seemed clean. Checked out on the app.

Newer property but my complaint is that the Men's Room by the Dining Hall was horribly, horribly bad. I reported it to the person on duty who was busy on their phone. She came and I explained the need. She put up a sign... Basically, what she said...'not my problem' I ain't doin' nothin' about it. I heard another man later asking for the Men's Room. When we left the property...no one had done anything about a rather simple fix. Bottom Line: Management...No one really cares. Come back to this place in 3 years...it will not look the same without someone 'taking charge.'

Cleanliness was fine, but the overall vibe of the hotel was not up to the standards I expect (and paid for) at Hampton Inn's generally. The construction seemed shoddy - the floors in the hallways were uneven and had depressions that felt very uneven. The room was nice enough, although we paid extra for an accessible room for a walk-in shower but it had a bathtub! Who puts in a bathtub for accessibility? The worst part was that you could hear absolutely everything from the floor above. There must be absolutely no sound barrier or subflooring. And while it wasn't the fault of the hotel that the people were moving/walking/jumping/bouncing around up there ALL NIGHT, I still laid awake imagining them crashing through the ceiling since I could hear every single step. It was not at all restful.

All we needed was one night to take a break and sleep from the road trip, this was better than staying in a motel. When we arrived there at very late at night, we used the app to unlock the room door, it didn’t work so we had to go the front desk to get the keys - the night employee was rude; that kinda ruined our good day of our vacation. The room and bathroom are clean, but the bed was a bit uncomfortable to sleep. The nice thing about this place that they have wifi available, in-house breakfast, etc. The area where the hotel is at, it was a bit creepy and depressing especially in the dark (where there were no lights to get to the hotel) due to the abandoned mall and abandoned hotel next to this hotel. At least, the price was reasonable for just one night to sleep.

Room was clean and nice. Breakfast was very good all 4 days. Nothing walkable around the property but plenty within an easy drive. Staff was very nice. We stayed here and drove in to Cleveland for different activities. Not a bad drive at all.

Key cards would not work for side doors coming in from parking lot to elevators for two days. My father is 83 and handicapped, so this was much more than an inconvenience. The front desk clerk was not only unhelpful but extremely rude. When I suggested propping the door open a bit for accessibility, he not only refused, but said he would remove anything used to prop it open, with no alternatives or solutions. Very thoughtless. We had intended to stay for two nights, but checked out Saturday afternoon due to the extreme inconvenience and poor service and attitude of that front desk clerk. Other staff besides the desk clerk on Saturday afternoon were pleasant and helpful when needed.
