Cute, modern hotel with a homey feel.
It's difficult to find pet friendly hotels. They welcomed us with dog amenities for our babies and fresh fruit. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious! The complimentary pastries for breakfast was amazing!

Excellent!
My husband and I spent two nights at Scribner's and are already plotting a time to return. The service and resort were both exceptional. We went hiking and did a wine tasting at one of the local shops. There's enough to do and see there, although relaxing and enjoying the company of other hotel guests is probably the best part of a trip to the lodge.

Unique retreat in the beautiful Catskills
Phenomenal food in Prospect, the lodge's restaurant. Room was nice and comfortable. The only thing I'd change is the continental breakfast. It was really just pastries and tea/coffee. Would be good to have some fresh fruit and toast/bagels too. If the hotel doesn't plan on providing more, they should call it "tea & pastries" rather than "continental breakfast".

This is about to be a beautiful hotel.
The renovation is going very well but unfortunately we stayed in a Tuesday so construction was going on and there was no food service for lunches or dinners. The rooms are really nice and from what I can tell the bar, restaurant and great room will be beautiful.

Newly refurbed, mountain-chic boutique hotel
Scribners has undergone recent refurb; the entire property is newly decorated - and they've used a funky modern mountain-chic style (bearded hipsters wearing flannels and who like throwing axes will feel very at home here!). Great customer service...it seemed that all the staff - from front desk to bar staff to maintenance) were there to help you, and this made for a really enjoyable stay. Definitely not the typical Catskills look & feel to this place. Highly recommended!
