Older property, maintained well, but no great updrades. Adequate breakfast. Running trail just down the hill that loops around town. No carpet in rooms, not my favorite, but i understand the laminate floors for cleaning purposes.

Pretty high price for bare bones and only cold breakfast. Cleanliness not the best. We had a ground floor room on the parking lot side and outside noise was not blocked at all. A family loaded vehicle at 5:45am and we could hear everything they said.

Disappointed in situation
We had a reservation and were told upon checkin that we did not have a reservation and would need to pay again. When the company we booked through tried to call the front desk receptionist she didn’t answer the phone to help out in resolving the issue. Little to no help to get the situation resolved was not what you would expect as a paying guest. Would not return to this location and would recommend staying in a better part of town 11 miles to Spearfish. Nicer hotels and better customer service.

Reception was away from the desk and took a long time to return. Bed was higher on the feet and rolled off 1 side. Breakfaat was mostly non-existant unless you wanted cereal or bread. Couldn't cut pancake with provided fork & knife!
