Penrith House is a former fisherman's cottage and it situated in Cliff Street, one of the oldest and most historic streets in Whitby. The cottage has lovely views to the Abbey and sea, and easily sleeps up to six people. Cliff Street is in the heart of Whitby and in an excellent location, a stone's throw from the pier, beach and quayside. This makes a fantastic holiday home base for exploring Whitby, the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and is ideal for families and couples alike.
Well behaved pets are also very welcome and there is a wonderful choice of scenic walks and beaches for them to explore closeby. The cottage is also superbly equipped for families and there are many exciting attractions to visit closeby such as the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, The Bram Stoker Dracula Experience and Whitby Whale Watching. Or head out and explore the nearby beautiful moorland aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which departs from the town.

Living space has many original features and includes a cosy lounge, handmade kitchen with dining table and chairs, a large bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower, and three good sized bedrooms, two of which have original fire places.

Ground Floor
A spacious lounge with two sofas and view of the Abbey, a traditional stove and fireplace, flat-screen TV. A selection of books, games and CDs are also available.
Kitchen/diner with handmade units and solid wood work tops. Fully equipped with integrated self catering appliances including washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric hob/oven. A microwave and all essential kitchen facilities are available.
First Floor
Bedroom 1, a spacious bedroom with king size bed, original fireplace and beautiful views of the Abbey.
Large bathroom with free standing roll top bath, separate corner shower enclosure, wc, wash basin and a Victorian towel heater rail.
Bedroom 2, a large bedroom with a king size bed, original fireplace and fantastic views toward the Abbey and sea.
Bedroom 3, a twin with two single beds.
Outside
Enclosed yard area can be found to the rear. Car park passes can be provided for parking within a five minute walk, (permits are not required in winter months). It is also possible to stop outside the cottage for unloading and loading.

Perfect for guests with children of all ages - a travel cot, high chair and baby bath are available.
The front rooms of the cottage all offer lovely views over the Abbey
Full central heating and all electricity is included in the booking price.
Bed linen is provided, but please bring along your own towels.

An excellent base for visiting Whitby and also a great place to explore the surrounding area, including Sandsend, Robin Hood's Bay, Staithes and Runswick Bay.
