Family Deer Camp
Our family was very pleased with our stay at the Eagles nest. It was a very warm & cozy cabin with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed walking down to the beach with a cup of coffee & our dogs. Lots of memories made and our kids were asking when we could come back and sad to leave. It was my husband and sons first time hunting too so the Eagles Nest will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Highly recommend this place and they communicated wonderfully. Thank you for being an amazing host!

Fall family fun
Went up to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Both youngest kids had a half hour drive from Ferris State University. My oldest had to work in Big Rapids. My parents live an hour and ten minutes away. Perfect location on the lake to have a small gathering for a day. Hiking trails nearby. Spent a night alone in the peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful lake and breeze. Plan to return.

Great VRBO on Diamond Lake
We normally go further North to see fall colors but this year we chose this VRBO to be on a lake to enjoy the tree colors. Colors were present on the trees and location on the lake was perfect. And this trip we got to bring our dog which was the 1st time for us which he enjoyed this trip as well. We had cousin/wife stay with us as well and perfect as each couple had their own floor. I'm sure we will talk about this trip for years to come.

The Eagles Nest
Very cool. Felt like we were in a houseboat looking out over the lake. My only issue was walking the many stairs, but I am older and have bad knees. I highly recommend this for rest and relaxation

Quiet getaway on beautiful lake.
Parents and two adult children stayed in the eagles nest. We stayed upstairs and our boys had the entire downstairs to themselves. It was clean and had recent updates. The host Christine is on site snd responded whenever we had a question. She was great! The entire grounds have recent updates and are well kept. Even the beach had been raked when we arrived. We rented a pontoon boat from Christine and were able to enjoy the entire lake. Enjoyed the hot tub, swam, built a fire. Nice mix of sun and shade on the property. Even though there are multiple rentals on the property we never felt like other guests were too close to us. Awesome stay!

Diamond Lake
The property grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The terraced yard was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. We had our own private, lush, green lawn for them. There were various shared areas; a grotto (a tucked away cozy spot to watch the lake, play cards etc), comfortable fire pit area, relaxing hot tub (again with a great view of the lake). The lake was the ideal size for us to kayak and the property was situated on a desireable part of the lake with no lily pads, just beautiful sun rises. Diamond Lake is an overall quiet lake, just what we were looking for, with “no wake” restrictions at certain hours. Plenty of kayaks always available and a pontoon to rent (maybe next time 🙂) Our Eagles Nest cabin was as described. Cozy and comfortable with the deck overlooking the lake being the crown jewel. We spent most of our time here under the beautiful trees in the morning, and enjoying the sun in the afternoon. It the evening, when the landscaping lighting came on, the ambience was amazing! If I have to find a negative, and it wasn't for us but it was a surprise, there are a lot of steps, so just be prepared. The lower level had a slight musty smell, but once we turned on the dehumidifier it was gone. It was also not as clean as the main level. We took a day trip to Pentwater and Ludington one day, and at the owners recommendation to a nearby wildflower sanctuary. 👍The owners were above and beyond welcoming, and attentive and truly made our stay enjoyable. Will return!

Lovely Weekend Getaway
We were looking for a quaint place to get away for springbreak 2024 and found this gem. Nice and quiet, snowed, miles hiked on the north country trail, and views of the lake from the hot tub. The little gas station around the corner had amazing pizza too. The ownees checked in on us and were great communicators. The place is small but it was a perfect fit for 2 adukts, 2 kida and a chocolate lab to sneak away and have lake front views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and well equipt and the host very courteous and helpful. The area has lots of great hiking trails. The cabin is built on a hillside near the lake and has a noticeable tilt, but seemed solid and we hope not in any structural risk, as it is a very nice place to stay.

Perfect fall getaway!
We went to Michigan to participate in a race in Grand Rapids. I ended up picking this cabin because it was in the lake and close enough to the race. It was the perfect set up for the eacape we were loking for. Our 3 year old loved everything about the lake and fishing (even though no fish were ever caught lol). House was as described and we had no issues while staying there. The host was very responsive and even checked in on us via text during the trip.

Beautiful lake
The lake view was beautiful. Unfortunately due to weather we weren’t able to enjoy the beach or boating options, however it was the perfect size and access for our group. Fishing was awesome, bring gear to accommodate pike (caught 5!). There is a tilt to the house, but nothing you shouldn’t expect with lake side property. Christine was very pleasant and responsive to text/call/email quickly.

Eagle’s Nest Review
Hi. We didn't end up staying there. Friday after we checked in, we tried to make dinner on the grill. It was so dirty all the old grease and food caught on fire burning our dinner. We had to knock cobwebs down everywhere just to have a place to sit or enter the door. We killed 5 spiders in the couple hours we were there. I understand it's woods, but I've stayed other places and there's never such an issue. The "beach" wasn't clean enough to be walking around on or trying to hangout at. The cabin was very musty smelling. We had to clean the filter from the air conditioner just to get some cool air. The dehumidifier needed emptied when we got there. I truly feel like there is no maintenance or care for the place to have people from all aspects of life come to retreat. I'm not high class I just like to be not be over run by bugs and small problems of neglect when I go out. I included the pictures of the grill fire

Location, Location, Location!
This was both a personal/personal business trip for me. I was 15-30 minutes to every place I needed to be. The lake cabin had an awesome view of the lake! Plenty of room in the lake cabin. Host was on-site when we arrived and very help in every capacity. Almost everything I have to say about the accommodations are positive. The only negative thing was there was a slight incline on the floor that was very noticeable. We were there during the off-season so it was very quiet for a major lake in the area. The question would I say here again, "Oh, Yea"!

Was a beautiful relaxing weekend. The cabin is much bigger than it looks as there is a fully finished basement. It was perfect for me and my family. Christine, the property manager, was extremely kind and accommodating. On top of all of it, the view of the lake in the morning was just breathtaking. Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!
