The only thing that irritated me was there wasn’t any process for early check in . I understand that someone was checking out the day of check in. The cleaning staff left around 3:00pm but we had to stand out in the cold until the lock released at 4:02. Really seemed unnecessary early

Better than described!
This house was perfect! Bigger than expected, with beautiful views of Mt Hood. It does have a basement unit, from which you can hear all sounds when you’re in the living room. But that was a very minor thing and we would absolutely stay here again in the future! Really wonderful

Lovely home …
My two sisters, brother-in-law and myself had a lovely week staying in Northern Lights, while attending my niece’s wedding in Hood River. The kitchen was incredible … with everything anyone could ever wish for in drawers and cupboards, including spices. The beds were very comfortable, the couches were OK. It was very clean, but we were disappointed that the hot tub was not working, while we were there. Short walk to town. Excellent bakery just a couple blocks away and a wonderful grocery store, within walking distance too. Although it’s a $7 round trip over the bridge to Hood River, we all fell in love with Hood River … the shopping, coffee shops and restaurants … especially Betty’s for breakfast. So much to see and do in the area. I highly recommend.

The house was very clean, the kitchen was mostly well equipped with new appliances. It is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the downtown restaurants. Our only disappointment was that the hot tub wasn’t working. We plan to go back next year.

Perfect stay in White Salmon
This property has it all! Comfortable, clean, great location and everything you could possibly require in your stay. I have seen such a well-stocked kitchen in a rental property. The only suggestion I would make is to clarify up front that all bedrooms are upstairs and that there is no handrail getting into the house. My husband uses a cane, and made it with some difficulty, but others might not have it.

Well appointed and stocked kitchen, great view from master bedroom, comfortable beds. Downside, the fees/taxes make this a costly stay. Also, there is list of chores at check out.

Great place, would stay here again
There were 3 couples staying at this home, 2 of the couples in our 50's, one couple in their 80's. Each had their own room with a queen size bed. Master bath had a full bathroom. There was also another full bathroom upstairs for the other 2 bedrooms. There was also a half bath on the main level which one couple kept all their toiletries in so none of were ever waiting for use of a bathroom. All rooms are upstairs with good lighting on the stairs, handrail and easy stairs to climb. The kitchen was one of the best equipped I have seen. Plenty of seating in the living room for all of us to sit and chat as well as on the back porch where we spent most of our time. Beds were all comfortable. House and hot tub were all clean. Parking for 3 cars available. Easy walk to downtown White Salmon and short car ride (10 min) to Hood River. Toll bridge each time you cross the bridge for $3.50. Very clear instructions on how to access the home as well as close it up. Departure was easy with little required (take out garbage, load dishwasher and start it). We all commented on the comfort of the home, how bright and cheerful it was and how much we enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again if returning to White Salmon.

Great stay!
Stayed here with 4 adults and 2 toddlers to attend the cider festival in Hood River. The house was very clean and spacious, lots of parking outside. Location was quiet and convenient to walk to several restaurants. We had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Be prepared to pay a $3.50 toll each way to cross the bridge to Hood River.

Beautiful home with great location!
We came to visit family and stayed here 6 nights. Everything was outstanding. The home was immaculate, the kitchen has updated appliances and is stocked with anything needed to prepare meals. We dined comfortably as a family with ample seating. The decor is so pleasing and really nice wall art was a plus for me.. The Mt. Hood view is the best we’ve ever had, and the hot tub was definitely a plus too. We decided to come a little late, so the smaller places were booked up. We are sooo glad we booked Northern Lights. It was worth every cent!

Nice property that is well located for walking to local shops and restaurants. Beneficial for when 8-10" of snow comes down and you can't drive anywhere. Kitchen is completely stocked with tools for cooking, unlike most vacation rentals. Hot tub is under overhang and great for relaxing in while watching snow fall.

This house is so comfortable and welcoming! We have stayed here twice so that my husband can sturgeon fish. The house is very clean and is stocked with anything you could possibly need! There is an amazing kitchen to enjoy family style meals at the large dining table. There is a grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. There are parks and trails right in town to enjoy the outdoors. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back porch after a chilly day outside! We will be back next year hopefully!

Great Location in White Salmon
We had a couple of tiny issues but overall, it was a great stay. A prior review from May told us that the main refrigerator was not working, and I had contacted the management company about that before we ever got there. They assured me that it would be fixed and would let me know for sure. Didn't hear from then at all and when we got there the main fridge was not working but they had brought in a little smaller fridge, that worked out. The gate on the side of the house was broken but they were going to send someone over to fix it, but we told them it was not needed for our stay, so I assume that is all corrected now. Otherwise, this was a great stay. Has a great view of Mt. Hood from the upper deck (it has two decks). We walked to the White Salmon Bakery and the grocery store only a couple blocks away. Nice big park with lots of grass only a block away. Three blocks or so away were multiple places to eat. Very convenient location! The place is stocked with everything you might need. Kitchen had every utensil and in some cases multiples of the items. Plenty of towels etc.
