Experience the 1960s reimagined at Six by the Sea, a sun-filled vintage bungalow only moments from from the sea and everything else Whitstable and Tankerton have to offer. This bungalow is all over one level, it offers 1 king , 1 double and 1 single, a large living and dining area, a separate WC and bathroom with shower over the bath.. The outside space is great for entertaining with a large driveway and very generous garden and two seating areas.
You check in using a key box code. I am however local to the area, so if you need anything or have any questions, I am only a phone call away and a short drive!
The beach is just over the road from the bungalow which means you can come home for lunch and pop out for another swim after! Whitstable Castle is in view from the drive, 2 minutes walk, boasting lovely gardens, play park and lovely tearoom.
Walk along the promenade and you will find the Harbour and town at one end and Tankerton Slopes at the other. The town has an abundance of restaurants and boutiques to try some local delicacies and go home with some beautiful souvenirs.
You have access to all areas in the property.
Recently renovated but retaining its original mid-century charm, Six by the Sea is furnished to reflect its origins, but with 21st century comforts in mind. Entering through the front door, you’ll find yourself in a spacious reception hall leading to three bedrooms (one king, one double and one single); a sun filled living/dining room; a well-equipped kitchen with all mod cons, and a newly refurbished cloakroom and bathroom, which includes an over-bath shower.
Outside, escape the hurly burly of the High Street in Six by the Sea’s fully enclosed south facing garden with its large deck, seating and dining areas. Make the most of its off-road parking for up to three cars (a luxury for Whitstable)
There is off street parking for 2 cars and there is free street parking on Tankerton Road, Tower Hill, Northwood Road and Tower Hill. The nearest paid parking is Beach Walk car park. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Street parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.
You can also visit the 'Just Park' website to find out where to park in Whitstable.
There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Tankerton Road, Harbour Street, High Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
