The good, the ok and the UGLY
The good, the OK and the ugly: The Good: Very friendly staff and smooth check in. Property was clean (other than being a swamp -see ugly below). Rooms were very large and would be good for a family if the UGLY below was fixed. The OK Breakfast was very minimal, and beds were just ok. Glad it was not a multi-night stay. The Ugly: Dehumidifiers in the hallway. Carpet in room felt soggy and entire atmosphere was humid. AC in room would not adequately cool, even on lowest setting. Was overly hot all night. Woke up with a bad sinus headache. If I had not checked in so late at night after traveling for many hours, I would have left and tried to go elsewhere but at that point it was a safety issue, because I was so tired, so I stayed. Reserved a room at this place because it was rated at a 9 on Hotels.com. How it got that rating is beyond me. I travel this route frequently but will not stay at this property again and cannot recommend unless you are desperate, particularly at the amount they are charging. I feel ripped off.

First vacation after retirement.
The hotel was somewhat centrally located to places we wanted to go. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to use a bathtub. The staff kept my husband well supplied with coffee. The only drawback was ants coming in thru the A/C unit.

It was clean and comfy, tv works great. Breakfast cuts off at about 8:30am, but lady cooked more eggs and sausage at about 8:40am. Still able to enjoy all they had. Great receptionists.

I booked this hotel after I saw it ranked as a 9 on TA and 4.4 on google. I was hoping I might find a "diamond in the rough". Honestly I don't know how they got the ranking they did. We were traveling with a small dog so we had to choose a dog friendly motel. As such we end up staying in many Red Roof Inns. I would rank this motel as an average Red Roof. Certainly nothing higher than that. Room was good sized but not particularly clean. We selected a "pet room" from the app which was the same cost as the std room and they didn't charge us any extra for the dog at check in which was nice. Breakfast was just adequate. There aren't many motels along this section of I-57 so if you have to stay in the area at least its quite. But I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers and gas station next door. Our stay was quiet and relaxing.

I never stayed a hotel where I wasn’t asked for my ID and no invoice was ever provided. There is not a hair dryer in the room which was very inconvenient. Bathroom door did not close all the way. There were not enough towels for four guests. Very bare bones and basic, sufficient for one night passing through town.

Don't let the outside deceive you. It looks like a Motel 6 outside, but is actually quite nice inside. Rooms are clean and fresh. Staff is helpful. A pleasant stay.
