Come visit us at Hickory Hideaway nestled in the mountains of Southern West Virginia! Conveniently located within 15 minutes of many of the WV adventures. New River Gorge National Park, Summersville Lake, Hawks Nest & Babcock State Parks, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield and Winterplace Ski Resort. Offering whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and more! If you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stay, we have it all! We are located in Mount Lookout, WV. The property is located 2 miles off of US Route 19, less than an hour from I-79, I-64 and I-77. Cabin sleeps up to 8. Rates are based on 4 guests, there is an additional guest fee per night for bookings with over 4 guests that you will see when checking out. The cabin is secluded on 2 acres on Meadow River Farms, with nice yard and forest cover. Spacious back porch with 6 person spa and sitting area. Master bedroom has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. Master bath has walk in tile shower, 2nd bathroom has tub/shower combo unit. Great room with electric fireplace and picnic table dining area. Spacious kitchen with island for social activities. Washer and dryer and other accommodations. We are pet friendly however we must be notified and approve the pet as you are booking your stay. There is a Dollar General conveniently located within 2 miles. Check out is at 11:00 am unless we have approved a late check out. Checking out late will without prior approval will result in a double cleaning fee. Weekend Get Away
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin in the woods. We were able to enjoy the hot tub and firepit. The three bedrooms and two baths were perfect for our family. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. Would recommend to others who want a quiet place near New River Gorge.

We had a great time at this cabin. The three bedrooms were perfect for our group. It was close to everything that we wanted to do (Summersville Lake, New River Gorge, Fayetteville) yet secluded. The boys really enjoyed roasting marshmallows and watching the steady parade of deer go by through the woods.

Fantastic Cabin in Perfect Location.
This is our fifth time staying at this cabin. It is perfect in every way for us as we come into town to visit family. It has everything you need and located centrally to Summerville and the lake. We love it and recommend it often.

The cabin was well maintained and the property was very secluded. The beds and couch were comfortable. Showers and baths were working and in great condition. We enjoyed the small fire pit and picnic table in the backyard. We were there to visit family and ride our Jeeps at the Good Evening Ranch. The cabin was convenient to all of our activities. We would definitely recommend staying at the cabin.

We used this property as our home base as we explored the New River Gorge area. The house was just perfect for our needs. It was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the evening. The deer came to visit early every morning. We have some wonderful pictures. The beds were comfortable. I have some mobility issues. I took my suction cup grab bars and put them on the doors of the walk in shower and it was perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this property.

A great getaway close to New River Gorge Hiking trails
The cabin is wonderful. It had all the ammenities of home and everything was clean and updated. Had 0 issues during our 3 night stay. Loved the firepit and wood supplied by the owners. Our son loved the hottub and relaxing after a long day of hiking. The property itself is very secluded and peaceful without any Trains/airports or other noises. I without a doubt would come back and stay again. Kudos to the owners on a awesome property!!

We booked this cabin to meet up with our son who lives in Ohio. This cabin was wonderful! Very clean and welcoming. Everything you need is there. Very quiet neighborhood with deer who visit every day. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner and had all the items we needed. Enjoyed exploring the area. Hope to visit again!
