Waste of time.
I booked the hotel through Expedia only to arrive from the airport to a ghost town. No one was there. The hotel had been shut down. Total waste of time.

Greatly Dissapointed!
Absolutely horrible, not fit for humans. Bold frightening pigeons greeted us at the entrance. No 7 restaurants, we did not see one. Mold, mildew, missing tiles, stained curtains and sheets! Bathroom light did not work. Moved into a different room, 1% better. Front desk admitted pics were 9 years old & no plans for renovations! Pool not full, black stuff inside and no water in kids pool. Also, had to drop off room key everytime we left the hotel This hotel should be condemned. We found another hotel and left the next day. Delaware.

Excellent physical and comfortable layout
Apart from the needed renovation, this hotel is excellent. I enjoyed the view, the lobby, the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, the friendly staff, the safe guarded parking lot.The fact that you are right in the heart of the city, surrounded by everything you need to have a comfortable vacation. The tv was quite old and did not have very good reception, that was something I missed.

Very nice hotel but need remodleing .
This hotel is very clost to every thing .you cannot ask for more. but it really needs a make over .When i were walking inti the hotel from outside i first taught there were homeless people sleeping out side because there were blankits outside in the pouch .Then someone said there were moving slot machine ,but the blankits were there fors hours. The elevators was not working for days. But i must admit the staff and breakfast were wery great .I love this place but a good facelift .WOOOOOOW will make this hotel the number one holel in Curacao.

My stay was very enjoyable. It was within walking distance of shops, restaurants and entertainment. Everyone was friendly and it was typical of the architecture of Curacao which made it very quaint. Would go back again.

Probably THE place to be many years ago, but now it is run down. Huge dinning room only open for breakfast. The pigeons are bold and hassle you while you eat! Should probably be bought out and refurbished.

Delapidated hotel near downtown
This old hotel has a beautiful foyer/lobby but has seen better days. There was a lot of things in disrepair, i,e. the pool, the gym, the TVs... The staff was nice, but this hotel is not a 3 star... it's a one star at best

Great location but.....
The hotel is situated in the heart of Willamstad. The hotel itself is not so good. It is old and tired. The corridors are dirty and in poor state of repairs. The room was very basic and in dire need of renovation. Definitely not deserving of its star rating.

This hotel should just close.
The only thing nice about this hotel is its location, the rest is very disappointing and not worth the price at all. The building is not well maintained, unappealing, grim and has a moldy smell and sense. Very old fashioned services and facilities that are very outdated and not properly running, like shops in the hotel, the restaurant and pool area. No wi-fi in the bedrooms, only in the lobby. The staff made an effort to provide friendly service, but the overall feeling is one of an abandoned building, stuck in time decades ago. If the payment was refundable I would have been out of there the second I arrived. I don't think Expedia should keep this hotel on its list.

Hotel Abandoned?
Great location and impressive facilities... however, hotel looks abandoned. Cold water in shower did not work, I had to get scalding water only. TV is small and old CRT type... I was given 2 consecutive in-room coffee makers, neither of which worked. No working restaurant, lobby bar or any of the usual facilities. I am aware the hotel is undergoing a change of ownership and it was the low season. However, I felt at times like I was the only guest in an abandoned hotel. Room was clean though, and the staff was very friendly. I hope the new management brings the whole thing back to life... this used to be a beautiful to place to stay.

Disappointing Hotel, Good Location
I had booked this hotel as an all inclusive which they DID NOT honor once we arrived. The hotel is an bad condition needs serious renovations but is clean and comfortable. The plus side of this hotel is the location, it's right in the heart of the city and is a close walk to everything. The hotel staff were rather rude at times and weren't helpful in trying to figure out the situation with the confusion of all inclusive. They advertise a restaurant and pool area but I never once over my 7 day stay did I see anyone in the restaurant and the pool is very small and under constant renovation. Wouldn't stay here and wouldn't recommend this place. If you can afford it upgrade to a better hotel.

Better than some reviews suggested
This hotel has some positive points, but sadly some negative ones to compliment them. It is right in the centre of town being only a short stroll to bars restaurants and shops. The town seems safe and we saw no problems whatsoever. Though the town was busy, the hotel is in a quieter part. The city itself was very good, but if you are looking for a nearby beach, you'll be disappointed. The hotel was very quiet for high season (we were there from Jan 7 to 18), except at weekend when it was full of rowdy Venezuelans and Mexicans. If you can stretch to it, order a junior suite with sea view. We had superb views from ours (9th floor) overlooking both the ocean front and the cruise liner docking area. The balcony however is not the description I would use, good as it was for viewing, it was tiny. Two concerns. Firstly, the pool area was sadly neglected, albeit usable, and the pool bar was only open from 5.00pm in the evening. The sunset views from the bar were stunning. Secondly, the restaurants described may be part of the complex, but ae not part of the hotel and you have to go out of the hotel, along the road and then enter the restaurants' areas. Odd!. Overall, we became accustomed to the oddities of the hotel and grew rather fond of it, and it is ideally situated. If you want luxury and sophistication, forget it. We found it good for the majority of our needs and enjoyed our stay in Curacao.

The hotel is in the city and surrounded by most of the activity. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms was good but lacked a mini kitchenette. The hotel looks like it used to be a 5 star hotel and has been neglected. There is a musty scent in the lobby and renovations can be done on the hotel.

Seriously needs an upgrade
I visit this hotel in 1995 and it was beautiful maybe the best in the area; but now 20 years later is really dated and bad looking in some areas. The room it was clean and ok but still dated and needing some upgrades. That's a shame that a Hotel in a excellent location close to everything is about to fall down because nobody takes care of it. That be nice if somebody try to revived it.

Urgent Action required
To whom it may concern: I am writing to complain about the room we reserved on January 15 this year at the plaza hotel Curacao and Casino it does not what we expected. furniture are in bad state , fridge leaking water on floor and needs to put towel underneath of it, ice machine broken and need to go at the casino to get some ice , can not have my phone calls trough the room because they can't transfer calls , need to go in the lobby to wait for calls, there is no WiFi in the room instead they have it somewhere downstairs in the lobby (public area)to chat with family that's the only place they have it.Unfortunately, our stay is not enjoyable as we think there is too much organisatonal problems in that hotel.In our opinion, This hotel is not in good standing to receive any guests at this time and to sum up the hotel is not clean . Please we required a full action to this matter immediately. Could I Please ask you to look into these matters- not only on our behalf but on behalf of your company , too. Old hotel
Good location. But the rooms, especially the bathrooms are filthy. As they don't give enough, we have to ask for additional soap, towels, etc. The walls are thin. It is extremely noisy. But the hotel is in the center of town. The staff are helpful.
