This natural pool of crystal blue water ebbs and flows with the tides over acres of white sand, and is home to exotic sea life just waiting to be explored. The locals will tell you that this oasis is among the most beautiful places on the island.

There are many places in Exuma from which you can experience the beauty of the ocean but there are few that allow you to embrace it like Cascata Villa. Whether the winds and tides are high or low, young and old can bask in this protected haven.

This airy, spacious 3100 square foot home comprised of a main house, two adjoining one-bedroom cabanas, and a newly built two bedroom cabana with cathedral ceilings comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests (mix of adults/ children). A large, partially covered 2000 square foot deck contains the outdoor kitchen and lounge area wrapping around the Infinity pool, offers plenty of outdoor relaxation opportunities, and a breathtaking view and direct access to the sheltered beach, lagoon, coral reefs, and the crystal blue ocean.

Perfect family vacation, for all ages
The house is lovely and spacious and the location is perfection. Grandchildren ages 2 to 14 all enjoyed the pool, the beach, the lagoon, kayaks, snorkeling, and generally hanging out. The property manager Judy was extremely helpful is arranging rental cars, stocking groceries, arranging a dinner, and generally handling everything for us.

This property is in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed the views, the pool, playing on the beach at low tide and kayaking all around the lazy river back to the lagoon. It was so private and relaxing. The cabanas off of the pool were perfect for our adult kids to stay in allowing privacy for all!

Incredibly beautiful and peaceful!
First, let me say that we never wanted to leave! The home is spacious and welcoming, the cabanas were great, and the view was good for the soul! The lazy river is perfect for kids of all ages to hang out and explore. The owners were very responsive, as was the property manager, Judy. We also rented vehicles from Judy, which was super easy. Our boat tour booked with Theo Gray was phenomenal! Tip: Download WhatsApp before you go to communicate easily with locals. Then just enjoy paradise!

This property was perfect for my husband and I, our two adult children and their spouses, 1 yr old grandbaby and great grandma. Serene and spacious. The two separate casitas were perfect to give our kids privacy. We loved kayaking in the mangroves, snorkeling outside of the cove , exploring the reef. Wifi went out which is normal and we loved it! No tv no phones - just our family connecting. Thank you for sharing this gem - we hope to return again in a few years!

Great place for a family getaway
The property and location were great. You need to know that you are quite away from town but with a little planning that was no problem. The tidal river was just amazing, watching the tides come and go and riding on the flowing river was great. We saw sting rays and star fish and crabs and conch and just had a great time. You could go just a short way out and get to the ocean and do some more snorkeling. We found the house well equipped and plenty of room to handle our group of 10. The only thing that was a negative where the no-see-ums which you had to plan for and stay in the sun or where the wind kept them away or you got alot of bites. But that was a small price to pay for such a great location and accommodations.

What a lovely home. This house has everything you could want. We loved the natural lazy river, the pool, the kayaks, the sunrise over the ocean, the master bedroom suites, and the well appointed kitchen, the proximity to Tropic of Cancer beach, and the privacy. Perfect Location
We stayed at Ribbon of Blue and absolutely loved it! The house is beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Judy, the property manager was extremely helpful in giving us advice on where to go on the island for specific needs. She always responded to our calls within minutes and was so polite! The location was about 30 minutes from town but we planned accordingly for groceries. If you like your privacy, this home is located on the best beach on the island. You have your own inlet and there are 5 kayaks to take out and explore the mangrove areas. We all love this home and will definitely return hopefully sooner than later!

Family Oasis at its finest !!
My family and friends had an amazing stay at this rental. The online booking process was smooth and easy. Heidi got back to me directly with answers to all my questions. Heidi was quick to respond and extremely helpful. She gave us helpful local ideas and information about restaurants and rentals that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The view was incredible from our lodging. We enjoyed the sound of the waves and many family game nights, with the included games. We all enjoyed the gorgeous salt water pool and lying on the deck chairs. Heidi recommend a lovely restaurant minutes away “Tropical Breeze”;the food and service was excellent. This will be a tradition for our family for many years to come. Thank you for having us !!! We hope to book again next year. Helene !

We loved Ribbon of Blue and Exuma! The house is perfectly situated with calm waters for kids and floating adults and beautiful color in the evening light! The prettiest waters I’ve ever seen are in Exuma. The roads, especially the unpaved ones, are very rough and bumpy. We had a lot of laughs in our large van as we bounced around. We had one of our best family vacations ever ….loved the layout of the house, too!

Thank you Ribbon of Blue and owners for an unforgettable family vacation. Every day and night was a treasure to each of the 9 of us . You gave us so many choices inside and outside to enjoy. We all felt little reason to leave your premises once we arrived…celebrating Dad’s retirement, Mom’’s 66th birthday and their 44th wedding anniversary. You were the perfect set up for any family or group of friends with your 2 private cabanas and spacious, airy upstairs bedrooms. Five great bathrooms, washer, dryer and outside shower made life easy.! Your open style kitchen, dining and living room all were very comfortable and so scenic that it was hard to decide where to go - inside or outside - same view either way! It was so comfortable and shady on the deck - lots of napping, reading, talking, eating throughout the day and evening poolside!

Little Exumas adventure
Our trip to Ribbon of Blue House was our first visit on the Island. The house was perfect. The tides up and back made for fun kayak trips as well as a cool resting spot for the kids. Property had everything we needed including pool toys, grill, wifi (teens), towels, cooking items, game etc. Was nice to have the two detached rooms for the boys to have private apartments :) We enjoyed out trips to Santana's. Great spot, thanks for sharing your house with us!!

TRIP OF A LIFETIME
All I can say is WOW! I booked this with a group of friends to celebrate my 40th bday and it was INCREDIBLE! The house was amazing and super private. We had a private beach and our very own lagoon that we soaked in for 8 hours out of the day. All of the people on the island were super friendly. I could not recommend this house enough! it was literal perfection. We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful. We have been on many beaches but his was the most beautiful and we had it to ourselves! Great for every age! Sand was like powdered sugar, a gentle lagoon and salt water river and another private beach a few steps away. We packed all of our food and were so thankful because you don't want to leave!!! All of our frozen food was still solid when we arrived. The pool was great for the kids, comfortable beds and lots of space. Be sure to ask for propane if you are going to do alot of grilling. This property is 40 minutes away from town but so worth it! We stopped at the Exuma Market for bread, fruit and veggies and eggs. We had everything else.

Secluded Paradise!
Ribbon of Blue is the island getaway you've dreamed of! This large modern house (plus two bungalows!) is just a couple of sandy steps away from the aqua blue waters of a gently flowing inlet and within sight of the ocean. Honestly, I've never seen water so vividly blue. You can kayak the ribbon into the mangroves for some adventure or wade over to the sandbar that leads to the craggy rocks on the oceanside and pick your way among the tidal pools to an even more secluded beach. But if relaxing is your thing, no worries. We spent time just floating in the infinity pool, soaking in the sun on beach loungers and reading (aka napping) on the covered deck. The villa is well stocked and equipped - large modern kitchen, big screen TV, internet, washer/dryer, etc. We had some very windy days that caused the power to go out but you barely noticed because they have a whole house generator. The house is just a short walk away from Tropic of Cancer beach (highly recommended). It's a larger beach with plenty of room for our group (7 adults) and many others. Be sure to walk up to the beachside snack shack to get a drink from the full bar (!) and conch fritters. We pulled ourselves away from our luxury digs to spend a day on a charter boat which picked us up in the waters just outside the villa (what?!). I can't say enough good things about the very responsive boat owner Theo and his son TJ who was our guide for the day. We rode the "lazy river," gathered shells on a sand bar that seemed to stretch for miles, hopped over to the "Chat 'n Chill" to grab fresh conch ceviche, swam with turtles, and had lunch on Stocking Island at the Snappy Turtle Bar and Grill. In fact, we had a lot of great meals on Exuma, I recommend Cocoplum Bistro on the north end of Great Exuma, Blu on the Water on the south end of Great Exuma and for casual dining Santana's in Little Exuma (very close to the villa and oh so friendly folks) and Splash Bar and Grill in George Town (be sure to sit on the swings at the bar). Little Exuma is a series of small rural communities. There are no drive-thrus or 24 hour shops. Be sure to get your groceries or take-away by 5pm. We paid extra to have cooks come to the villa and prepare a meal but you don't have to since you can be your own gourmet in the big kitchen or soak up the local color and cuisine at some great restaurants. We loved this place! We left tanned, rested and ready to rent it again!
