What a lovely place
What a lovely place and the people working there are next level in regard to service and kindness We were very impressed We arrived at the hotel, and there was no electricity, and they went out of their way, to cater to our needs

I brought roaches home!
I just came back from Williamsburg yesterday. We stayed at this hotel on Friday and Saturday night. When we arrived in town, Williamsburg had just had an awful storm. It was so bad that it knocked out the power to the hotel which clearly wasn't the hotel's fault. The power came back on at midnight. We arrived a few hours early and stayed in our SUV for a long time for the AC. We finally went to our room at 11:40pm to finally settle in because we had no idea when the power was going to come back on. Which is when my husband killed the biggest roach he ever saw in the bathroom. The bathroom was gross! Hairs in the towels and the bathtub had a large dirty ring around the tub! The sink didn't drain in the sink AT ALL. We had to wash our hands in the tub as well as brush our teeth with tub water. They had a plunger next to the toilet which I had never seen in a hotel before. The breakfast was plastic described as real food. My husband and I couldn't eat it, it was so bad. Other people were complaining about the food too. The breakfast actually made me sick all day. We didn't eat the breakfast the next day. When we went home, I saw we had two roaches in our luggage. If the power hadn't have gone out, we would have asked for our money back and stay some place else but it was so late and it was so dark, plus we don't know the area well. We spent $314 on this nightmare. Also, they have train tracks right near the hotel that kept having trains go by but that didn't bother us.

Water Park Adventure
The room was clean and roomier than I thought it would be. I liked the table/chairs set up. It was easy to have breakfast in the room. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, time for a new one. The bathroom was spacious and i enjoyed the adjustable shower head. We come down a few times in the summer, we will stay here again.

The standards of Wingate have dramatically decreased. Old hotel that attempted a renovation. Booked a queen room, got double beds. Breakfast was sad and in a cramped space. Room cleanliness was just ok. Get what you pay for!

I highly recommend against staying at this hotel. The staff were extremely rude and acted as if they did not want to be bothered whenever they were approached. Courtesy does not exist within the hotel staff. Multiple times I said “thank you” or “have a good day”, with absolutely no response, just a dead look. On our last night at the hotel, there was a major power outage, and the staff did absolutely nothing to help accommodate its guests. I proceeded to politely ask if there was a possibility of a refund, being as though there was no power, and the rooms were hot and muggy. The manager proceeded to, very rudely, tell me to bring all of my luggage down, and I’d get a refund whenever the power was restored. Not trusting this, I decided to spend the night in the pitch black dark with no AC. Do not stay at this place!

Except for the bathroom handle leaking on the floor, the bathroom was clean and handicap Accessibility was excellent here. Dining area was very clean did not like substitute eggs, and the sausage was not the best The overall room was very clean.❤️❤️

The part of hotel I seen was clean. Smells really good when you walk through the front doors. Check in was super easy and fast. Girl at the front desk was nice. Room was good. For the most part it was clean. Bathroom had some hair in the bathtub but that’s not an issue to me. Bed isn’t the most comfortable but not the worst I have slept on either. Two soft pillows and two firm pillows. Breakfast I had a waffle which was good I can’t speak on any of the other food. The coffee is Nasty, no amount of cream or sugar will help that coffee. No cream of any kind offered only milk. Overall hotel was nice

We had a great stay here, and the location is very convenient in proximity of dining and shopping. The property itself was very clean, the lobby smells amazing and staff was very welcoming and friendly! The reason I gave only 4 stars was that our bathroom was not the cleanest(hair in/around the tub and shower wall). Also, the tub drained slow so showering you would be standing in about 2-3 inches of water. To be fair I did not report this to the front desk as my gf and I travel with our own cleaning supplies and just made it happen ourselves. Other than that it was great and I'd definitely stay again.
