Our host was very gracious and welcoming. The room was large and very comfortable. We loved how close it was to the train station and restaurants. It was easy to start long hikes in the area. Highly recommended!

Enjoyable Friendly Welcoming Stay.
The room was compact but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was exactly what we expected and not disappointing in anyway. The corridor and stairway was not well lit. My only bugbear was that the property was listed as free parking but in reality, it is street parking and the luck of the draw if you can find a space nearby. I think free parking should mean that the owner can provide somewhere to park. This is more an issue for Hotels.com than for the property owner.

Jo was really friendly, and provided great service with a fun sense of humour. She also went above and beyond when I had to check out early, meaning I'd miss breakfast, so she provided a packed lunch for my trip home.

Lovely little B&B. Jo was so friendly and welcoming, a fantastic host. The room was clean and had everything I needed and most importantly the bed was very comfortable! The room was comfortable and clean, the service from the owners was exemplary, and the breakfast was well cooked. However the best thing by far was the shower. If you travel a lot then you know the trials of hotel showers, even some of the best have mediocre ones, not so at Westbury House. Not only was the water fantastically hot, there was full pressure even without using the massage setting. To be able to come back from a day of scaling the fells and have a shower that blasts off all the grime and sweat of the day is absolutely glorious.
