Great spot to explore Oxfordshire & Cotswolds
Our host Vikki was very helpful, reaching out to locals to find where we could watch a cricket match, which happened to be within easy walking distance to the Minster Lovell ruins. Perfect start to our first trip to England.

Hidden gem, perfect for exploring the Cotswolds
Where do I start… This property is absolutely fantastic, full stop! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Vikki (one of the amazing hosts of this property) with a chilled bottle of white wine and some sublime homemade Victoria sponge muffins, we knew we were onto a good thing! The Nook itself is completely gorgeous, clean, well stocked, and with the best shower I have EVER used. It’s decorated to a very high standard and immaculately presented. Little touches like providing a variety of pods for the Nespresso coffee machine, and putting fresh milk in the fridge, did not go unnoticed. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, and when we requested a fan as it was quite hot the days we stayed, Vikki dropped a brand new one into us that evening. Location wise, you are 30 mins or less by car from most of the pretty towns of the Cotswolds - Bourton-on-the-water, Lower Slaughter, Stow on the Wold, etc, which for us was perfect. On checking out we met Simon, Vikkis husband, who was equally lovely, very personable and sounded good fun. To sum up, if you are looking from a home from home stay in a gorgeous part of the Country, you will be hard pressed to find a better accommodation run by nicer people!

Fabulous....simply a dream stay!!!!
Staying at the "nook", was more than a treat....it was a dream!!! The hosts were marvelous. They were the consummate hosts. They were, responsive, fun, open and friendly. Probably THE BEST vrbo experience ever! The accomodations were charming, plenty of space to feel at home, parking right outside the door, tons of maps of the area, recommendations for meals and activities, to suite our tastes. It was simply magnificent...simply magnificent! From the second that we arrived to the second we departed.

Great Weekend in “The Nook”
Beautifully appointed annex, adjacent to owners’ property. Room had everything you needed for a lovely few days away. Our hosts had put in many thoughtful touches and the homemade cake was lovely, a bottle of wine and Nespresso coffee machine to name a few. Communication was great and hosts very friendly. Cleanliness superb. Situated a short drive from Oxford and the Cotswolds.

Ideal property for a get away from it all, with plenty to do close by. The property definitely had the wow factor even before you walk through the door with the beautiful garden. Everything in the property was beautifully done with all the comforts of home and some luxury extras (wine, home made cakes and a coffee machine). The host was lovely and stopped in for a quick chat and offer of anything else we may have needed. machine

This is such a delightful property and more spacious than the photos lead you to believe. Vikki is a great communicator with nothing being too much trouble. She found out about all the bus routes for us, recommended places to eat and supplied us with wine, milk and delicious homemade cakes. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you so much Vikki

Birthday get away
The Nook, was beautiful inside and out, it was absolutely spotless, we were welcomed with towels on the bed, birthday messages on the mirror, wine and milk in the fridge and some cupcakes on the side. Communication with Vikki was perfect, she made sure we were comfortable and was happy answering any questions we asked. She made the effort to speak to us on arrival and when we were leaving, it was so natural, easy and comfortable. Lovely stay and get away, would definitely recommend.

A rare find
This property was one of the cleanest I've ever seen--and I'm hard to please on cleanliness! There were also lots of thoughtful little touches provided, such as coffee pods, fresh milk, and a bottle of wine. The bed was very comfortable. Also, nearby spots such as Old Minster and Burford are well worth a visit and offer good dining. This rental space is well organized, which is important because it IS small--both the overall space and the shower, for example. However, as long as the traveler can anticipate that, he or she will enjoy the stay. One suggestion: I would have preferred hooks rather than knobs in the bathroom for the towels, or, even better, a couple of long towel rods if a spot can be chosen. Knobs allow towels to slide off too easily, and a rod would let the towel actually dry after use, which is difficult in a rather humid area. Vikki and Simon were friendly hosts, clearly eager to give any assistance they could. The Nook is a good spot!

Delightful accommodation for a short stay. The owners are lovely and made us very welcome with a homemade cake and bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. There's only a microwave so not really self catering, but perfectly adequate for a few days stay and there are several good pubs and a Spar shop nearby. Well situated for visiting the beautiful Cotswold towns and villages.

The Nook was absolutely fantastic! Great location for everything.
We had such a lovely time. We managed to cram in so much for a short weekend stay. Broughton on water to see model village, woodstock for Bhlenim palace, bladon to see churchills grave, oxford to visit the oldest pub called The Bear Inn, Minster Lovell for its historical ruins and local pubs and finally Cotswolds Wild Life Park on the way home just 10 mins drive from The Nook. Everything is so close and walkable or just a short drive away. Bus stop right outside the house too. Vikki was such a lovely host. Gave us a warm welcome. Baked a beautiful cake and even put a bottle of wine in the fridge. She gave us all helpful tips and advice on where to visit. We will deffinatley be back to stay. Pictures dont do the property justice. If your looking to explore the costwolds with everything on your door step then id strongly recommend coming here to stay. Just perfect!

Amazing..more than excellent!
We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at The Nook. The whole booking process was very smooth & stress free. Vikki our Host kept in touch via email with directions, key code, and even which wine we preferred, red or white. Together with our wine was a homemade cake, which was delicious and a lovely touch. Parking was right outside the front. The accommodation is an annexe to the Host's house. Spotlessly clean and very modern with some lovely quirky features. A very comfortable king size bed, plus a sofa bed/sofa. a large tv, tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, microwave and the kitchen area was very well stocked with everything needed. The bathroom was stunning with a very modern shower, with fluffy towels and robes provided. The whole accommodation was equipped with top quality fixtures and fittings, and excellent attention to detail. Vikki the Host, in the short time we had known her, has become a friend and nothing was too much trouble and ensured we had the best stay possible. We visited the 2 pubs in Minister Lovell, just a short 15 minute walk away and had a lovely meal in the Horse and Radish. The Nook is well situated as a base to explore Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, where we can recommend the bus/walk tour in Oxford and also Sunday lunch in the Bear, the oldest pub in Oxford. also the idyllic village of Burford with breakfast at the Priory. Thank you Vikki, for your hospitality with all the little touches which was greatly appreciated. Hope to see you again soon.
