Laughing Loon, our wonderful family compound is located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and is available for rental for the first time in 50 years. The compound consists of a newly built 3000 square foot 5BR/2.5BA Main House, a separate 3BR/2BA Deck Built house, 2 additional sleeping cottages with 5 bedrooms and a 150 year old boathouse with a separate bedroom, bathroom and a family sized sleeping loft. All of this is located lakeside on an exceptional 6 acre property featuring 400 feet of shore frontage on Lake Winnepesaukee. Within easy walking distance of charming downtown Wolfeboro. Laughing Loon is ideal for a multi-generational family re-union (room to sleep up to 34 people) or weddings and family reunions (up to 100 guests). The south facing main house, has a gourmet kitchen, open concept living and dining room with beautiful stone fireplace, large sun room and numerous decks for entertainment or to escape for quiet conversation.
A private sandy beach suitable for swimming or sunbathing is located next to the sand volleyball court. A floating raft is an easy swim offshore. For toddlers and non swimmers, there is a private wading lagoon next to the beach. The dock and boathouse providing covered protection for up to a 22 foot boat is located on the opposite side of the property.
