About this property

Private Lakefront Glamping on 95 Acres, Rooftop Tent right on the Lake

Sleep in the trees on a private lake! Enjoy a brand new rooftop tent with memory foam bed perched above a screened shelter with camp stove and dining area. Bring your cooler, a bathing suit and kick back in nature!
The rooftop tent provided comfortably sleeps 2 adults + a small child, and its lower level can sleep 1-2 more! Bring a tent or two for more guests!
This is 1 of only 4 sites across 95 acres, a hidden gem. Welcome to Camp Rose Island!

If you've never heard of Cascadia Vehicle Tents - they're great! Typically installed on the roof of a vehicle, we decided to pop ours on top of a modern structure designed for breezy off-grid living. The tent has all the things a normal tent has, only way better. Use the ladder to climb in and enjoy a comfy queen+ sized bed underneath stargazing windows.
The tent also boasts a large lower level area that is completely enclosed and can be used as additional sleeping quarters (guests bring their own pads/mattresses/cots), or use it for your pets or personal belongings, or as a luxurious changing area!

Underneath the tent platform is a screened-in deck containing a camp stove (fuel included) and small dining area. All newly built in 2023 and designed for simple low-impact vacationing.

A safe distance away you will find a fire pit and more space for spreading out, playing with the dog, or even setting up another tent if you are a larger group.

Enjoy access to the water via the shared dock located down a short path, or if you’re feeling adventurous you can wade in from the site - it’s just a bit steep to the small private dock. You’ll also have access to a large 10x10 raft in the middle of the lake and two canoes + life jackets.

Just steps away from the tent (but far enough for privacy) you'll find a new outhouse that is dedicated to the site.

This site is at the furthest end of the property from the municipal road, and the trail to it is only recommended for 4WD vehicles. You are welcome to park your car in the front of the property and hike 10 mins to the site down the beautiful winding trail (a great way to see the property), a wagon is available on request. The property you'll be enjoying is 95 acres of privately owned land with forests, marshlands, ponds, and meadows and is largely natural and wild, with typical forest hazards. By booking my place you agree to all risk of injury or harm to persons and property in your group.
We are 15 mins from the hamlet of Coe Hill, and only a few minutes from the OFSC trails.

Guests will have access to the entire site, the lake, the shared lakefront area, an outhouse, and the ATV trail that spans the length of the property.
A host will be available through the app and available in person for check-in, and during your stay if needed.
This is a rustic off-grid camping experience requiring either a 4WD vehicle or hike to the site down a winding trail, it really is a totally hidden gem. Recommended for hearty outdoorsy types, there is no plumbing or electricity - just nature!

Glamping!
The glamping site was just perfect! Waking up & seeing the lake from the comfy bed was amazing. Paddling around the quiet lake in the canoe was enjoyable, especially that all the water Lillie’s were blooming. I recommend you give it a try, you’ll be glad you did!
