Accommodation In Yinchuan\n
The delightful city of Yinchuan is the capital of China’s autonomous region of Ningxia. Steeped in history and culture, it’s governed by the Hui people and has a distinctly different flavour to other parts of the country. The main religion is Islam, and you will see a wonderful blend of Islamic and Chinese traditions and cultures. It is an important city for industry yet still has plenty to keep you amused and occupied while visiting. Spend time exploring both the ancient and modern architecture in the town. There are a good choice of places to eat and drink around the city, and we have some excellent hotels in Yinchuan for a comfortable and enjoyable trip.
In the heart of the Old Town you’ll find the West Pagoda, where you can enjoy the pretty gardens and traditional buildings. Climb to the top of the pagoda for excellent views across the city. Another beautiful pagoda, the North Pagoda, can be found a short way out of the city, and it is equally as charming. The main shopping area is at Xinhua Street. You can find a vast array of different products here at very reasonable prices. Visit the main square in the evening time to see locals playing a variety of games, dancing, and playing music. It really is a great place to catch a glimpse of the local way of life.
Take an excursion to a section of the Great Wall of China. The stretch at Ningxia lies some 60 kilometres outside of the city and is easy to get to by bus or by car. It is in a peaceful and remote spot and is the perfect place to admire parts of this ancient Chinese legacy away from droves of tourists. Walk along the wall and admire the designs and views. Around an hour away is the sparkling Shahu Lake and another great trip is to the Xixia Wangling National Park, where you can see a large collection of historic tombs.
Getting thereThe airport is only 25 kilometres from the city centre and we have a great selection of flights to Yinchuan from a number of domestic departure airports. We also have a wide choice of great Yinchuan accommodation, so wot are you waiting for?
