Welcome to Pleasant Cottage - a peaceful, pastel hideaway in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Centrally located, just 20 minutes from Ann Arbor and 40 minutes from Detroit. Pleasant Cottage is tucked away at the end of a private drive in a family-friendly neighborhood, sitting just beside a park and public swimming pool. The house has a cozy, retro vibe, with your choice of sun-lit spots for relaxing. The kitchen, living room, dining area, and sunroom flow together, making an ideal gathering space to enjoy a meal, play games, watch a movie, or sit by the fire and catch up on quality time together. There is also a dedicated workspace and exercise space with yoga equipment and a Peloton bike if you want to keep up with your home routine. Find rest in one of two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, or stretch out on one of two twin beds in the sunroom. Need room for more? The couches in the living room are extra comfy, and comforters and pillows are provided. Have a shower or bath in the full bathroom, or snap a getting-ready photo with the fun wallpaper in the half bathroom. Pleasant Cottage is walkable to Eastern Michigan University's campus as well as dining and shopping in Downtown Ypsilanti and Depot Town - home to Riverside Park along the Huron River. Guests have private access to the entire house, except for the basement. We are local to the area, and can be reached via the Airbnb app. We are available for any issues, or for travel and dining recommendations. Check-in is done via a keypad code, so you can arrive and leave at your leisure. Normal Park is a charming residential neighborhood in the heart of Ypsilanti, Michigan, within walking distance of multiple parks and recreation trails, treasure-filled vintage shops, locally-owned restaurants and coffee shops, craft beer and cocktails, local grocery and farmers markets, and so much more. The neighborhood is accessible by car, foot, or bike. There is private parking on the premises for four cars, and street parking in the neighborhood is free as well. Close by is I-94, which will take you to Ann Arbor and Detroit. Detroit Metro Airport is 25 minutes away. If you're getting around without a car, there is a bus service with nearby stops, and multiple ride share services are available. The property is at the end of a long private drive - There is a sign out front that will let you know you have arrived! Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the Huron River Water Trail, a 104 mile canoeing and paddling trail, as well as the Border to Border Trail, a 35 mile ADA accessible paved pathway that will take you through cities, nature areas, parks, and more throughout Washtenaw County.
