The structure is indeed of great historical value, it is a wonderful asset to Marriott, the maintenance process of such a diversly large property is a huge task & it is carried out seamlessly..staff all ..of them..are professional & helpful..they make you feel more like at home rather than a visitor...the beds are so comfortable that you can sleep relaxed the whole night...some rooms may need carpet renovations..there are many ways to do that. I loved my stay in Cairo, and welcomed the sanctuary of the hotel after my adventures in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria and Luxor. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, all the staff were always warm, hospitable and attentive, they made my stay so perfect. The hotel is on an island between Cairo and Giza, in the middle of the Nile, and is surrounded by embassies and expensive private properties, so is very secure. I must mention the following staff members as they made all the difference: Hazem - on check-in, you ensured I had an incredible room for my stay! Thank you, as this made such a difference! Hamada - you accommodated my request for a late check-out which meant I could have an extra morning exploring your city. Hassan and Mina - you both looked after me in the restaurant. Mahmood - my friend - you served me regularly my favourite lamb chops and beers, always efficient and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
