Hotel, restaurants and location are great - be wary though that it cost CHF150+ just to get to the front door once you have added up the parking in the previous town, taxis and trains - this is not communicated in advance by the hotel at the time of booking unfortunately.

This is an amazing but expensive place to stay partway up the Gornergrat railway. Fabulous views of the Matterhorn, rooms, staff and pool/spa area. Itā€™s just what we wanted as a special experience!

I first visited Zermatt 34 years ago and walked through Riffelalp before the current hotel was built. Itā€™s just a perfect and unique location for an Alpine hotel and delivers true luxury while retaining a friendly and family like experience. I left yesterday and as usual I canā€™t wait to return.

Wonderful hotel with an absolutely amazing view
