Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau

Thung Khe Pass

8:00 AM: Meet your tour guide and driver, then depart for Mai Chau. On the way, visit a Muong village before continuing to Thung Khe Pass, where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. Arrive in Mai Chau town, a picturesque valley located 145 km from Hanoi. This stunning destination is known for its harmonious landscapes, lush mountain ranges, rice terraces, and traditional White Thai ethnic villages.

Mai Hich

Arrive in Mai Hich village, check into your accommodation, and then enjoy a lunch cooked by the host. Later, explore Mai Hich by walking along the trails and concrete roads. You will be captivated by the gorgeous landscapes where villages, rice fields, mountains, and streams harmonise beautifully with one another. Don't miss the opportunity to communicate with the friendly local people, who are always eager to welcome you into their homes for a cup of tea.

Sam Khoe

Continue trekking, passing rice fields and small communities to Sam Khoe, a Thai village that remains untouched by tourism. Enjoy the harmony of nature's beauty and rich human culture. At the end, you will be picked up by a driver and transferred back to your accommodation. Note: A private traditional music and dance show by local people is available for an extra cost of $35 per group. Please ask our guide to make a reservation if you are interested.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Pu Luong

Pu Luong Nature Reserve

8:00 AM: Depart from Mai Hich and head directly to Eo Ken, 30 km away, where the Muong ethnic group resides. Walk down the slope and enjoy the spectacular views of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, rice field terraces, and mountains. Visit a Muong ethnic family in Eo Ken village and discover their authentic lifestyle. Continue walking through this beautiful landscape and cross a stream to reach Hang Village.

Pu Luong Home

Get picked up by car and transfer to Pu Luong. Check in to your accommodation and enjoy lunch.

Chiềng Lâu 2

Later, head to Chieng Lau, a picturesque area renowned for its lush rice fields and traditional bamboo water wheels. Embark on a scenic walk, interact with local residents, and observe the bamboo water wheels in action as they aid in irrigation. Return to the host's house and stay overnight in the mountains.

Day 3: Pu Luong - Hanoi

Chom Lan village

8:00 AM: Start your day with a scenic hike down into the beautiful valley from your accommodation, passing through breathtaking rice fields and following small paths towards Chom Uoi and Chom Lan villages. Be sure to capture these unforgettable moments with your camera. Along the way, witness the ever-changing landscapes of rice terraces, villages, fields, ponds, streams, and mountains. Continue your walk to Pho Doan, where you'll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Cam Luong Fish Stream

Get picked up by your driver and transfer back to Hanoi. On the way, visit the sacred fish stream in Cam Luong, a site famous for its unique fish population. These fish are considered sacred due to the many mysterious legends surrounding them.
