8:00 AM: Meet tour guide and driver then depart to Mai Chau. On the way, visit a Muong village. Continue to Thung Khe pass where you can view magnificent panoramic views of the valley before arriving in Mai Chau town. Mai Chau is a beautiful valley located 145 km away from Hanoi. It is great place with harmonious landscapes, green mountain ranges, rice terraces and White Thai ethnic villages.

Mai Hich

Arrive in Mai Hich village, check into your accommodation, and then enjoy a lunch cooked by the host. Later, explore Mai Hich by walking along the trails and concrete roads. You will be captivated by the gorgeous landscapes where villages, rice fields, mountains, and streams harmonise beautifully with one another. Don't miss the opportunity to communicate with the friendly local people, who are always eager to welcome you into their homes for a cup of tea.

Sam Khoe

Continue trekking, passing rice fields and small communities to Sam Khoe, a Thai village that remains untouched by tourism. Enjoy the harmony of nature's beauty and rich human culture. At the end, you will be picked up by a driver and transferred back to your accommodation. Note: A private traditional music and dance show by local people is available for an extra cost of $35 per group. Please ask our guide to make a reservation if you are interested.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Pu Luong - Ninh Binh

Pu Luong Nature Reserve

8:00 AM: Depart from Mai Hich and head directly to Eo Ken, 30 km away, where the Muong ethnic group resides. Walk down the slope and enjoy the spectacular views of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, rice field terraces, and mountains. Visit a Muong ethnic family in Eo Ken village and discover their authentic lifestyle. Continue walking through this beautiful landscape and cross a stream to reach Hang Village.

Mai Chau

Pick up by car and transfer to Mai Chau for lunch. Afterwards, depart for Ninh Binh, with an optional stop along the way to stretch your legs or capture photos of the scenic daily life. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, check into your accommodation.

Van Long Nature Reserve

Continue to take a sampan boat trip along the stream and among the limestone mountains to discover the beauty of Van Long Nature Reserve. If luck is on your side, you might even spot the rare Delacour's langurs and flocks of white storks soaring through the sky. Sometimes the langurs come down to the foot of the mountain to drink water, while at other times they bask in the sun high on the peak of Hoang Quyen Mountain.
