Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the Bellavista Nanay port.
On board our comfortable and safe traditional boat, the journey along the Amazon River will allow you to appreciate a wonderful panorama where the magnificence of the river carves its way through the lush jungle.
Sightseeing of grey or pink dolphins along the way.

Visit to the “Indigenous Community – KUKAMA TRIBE.”
We will visit and dance with them, as they have been guardians of the region’s biodiversity, using their deep knowledge of plants and natural medicine to survive in this challenging environment. Additionally, their rich oral tradition has passed down stories and myths that explain their origins and relationship with nature.

MONKEY ISLAND – Neyser:
Continuing our navigation along the Amazon, we will enter a creek to visit the monkeys in their natural habitat. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the different species of monkeys that inhabit this area, where we can learn about each one of them, feed them, play, and take pictures with them… all in their natural habitat!

Arrival at our Lodge, where a brief explanation about the sustainability rules of the lodge and its surroundings will allow you to better understand the jungle.

SWIMMING IN THE AMAZON:
After lunch, we will have a 30-minute rest before heading out to enjoy the cool waters of the Amazon River, its beaches, and experience a “flowering bath” in the black mud.

Observe the stunning sunset over the Amazon River (weather permitting) and watch pink dolphins (season-dependent).

NIGHT EXCURSION:
Explore the lush jungle at night to observe various species of insects, tarantulas, frogs, scorpions, monkeys, and nocturnal birds.

RESCUE CENTER:
We will head to the Wildlife Rescue Centre (“Fundo Rony”) to observe and interact with some wild animals such as sloths, monkeys, macaws, toucans, boa constrictors, and turtles. It will be an interesting way to learn to value and respect the typical wildlife of our Amazon. Reminder: In this centre, these animals are kept in cages because they are provided with care for a few days before being released.

AMAZONIAN TRAPICHE:
Tasting of handcrafted macerations such as camu camu, the “seven roots,” and ginger. These provide a unique opportunity to experience their medicinal properties. These infusions are rich in health benefits, such as boosting the immune system thanks to camu camu’s vitamin C, improving digestion, and promoting vitality with the seven roots, and relieving digestive discomfort and nausea with ginger.

PIRANHA FISHING:
We will then prepare for the Artisan Fishing Tour, where the guide will teach us the local fishing techniques for piranhas or other species using the same materials that Amazonian locals use for subsistence fishing.

NIGHT CANOEING:
We will go canoeing at night in search of caimans. We will learn about their lifestyle, their vital role in nature, and then release them back into the wild

YANAYACU RIVER NAVIGATION:
We will board a peque peque boat to navigate the Yanayacu River. This remote corner of the jungle harbours an astonishing biodiversity, with lush forests, winding rivers, and a unique variety of wildlife.

GIANT TREE TRAIL:
Our goal is to reach the giant tree where we can make a wish to Mother Nature at the feet of the mighty Lupuna tree.

YAGUAS INDIGENOUS TRIBE:
Whose ancestors were discovered by Francisco de Orellana during his first Amazon exploration in 1541. This visit will allow you to learn about their ancestral customs, appreciate their original attire made from palm fibres, and even test your aim with the “pucuna” (blowgun) that the Yaguas have used for centuries to hunt.

After breakfast, we will prepare to visit another, more secret and preserved monkey island than the one on the first day, to discover new monkey species. We will learn about each species that exists in this place, how to care for them, interact with them, and see more than five types of monkeys, including some endangered species.
