Your tour starts within the interactive exhibition, which showcases New Zealand’s fascinating natural history and Zealandia's conservation efforts to preserve our unique forest ecosystem. After a short film, your expert guide lead through the gates of the predator-proof fence which provides a safe haven for hundreds of native NZ species. You will walk along the lake as the sun sets and the daytime species settle in and the nocturnal animals wake. Guided by torchlight and following the birdsong that echos throughout the sanctuary, you will begin your search for kaka, weta, glow worms, tuatara and the rare Little Spotted Kiwi, all living wild.
