What you can expect

Explore some of Jordan's most spectacular sites on a 2-day, private tour from Amman.

Day 1: Amman - Petra - Wadi Rum

Depart Amman and travel south to Petra. Founded by the Nabateans, Petra is considered one of the wonders of the world. Located 139 miles (225 kilometres) from Amman, Petra was carved in stone more than 2,000 years ago.

It dominated the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Upon arrival, walk the narrow path of the Siq to discover the main entrance to the city.

At the end of the Siq, see the Treasury (al-Khazneh), which was believed to hold countless treasures. Continue to the monastery and Altar of Sacrifice. Then, transfer to Wadi Rum in the afternoon, drive to Wadi Rum by 4x4 jeep. Wadi Rum (“Valley of the Moon”) is where the legendary film “Lawrence of Arabia” was filmed. Marvel at the unique shape of the mountain as it rises from the rose-red sand of the desert. See towering cliffs of brownish, reddish, and golden colours. . Spend the night in a Bedouin camp and enjoy bedouin dinner and some nighttime activities.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Dead Sea - Amman.

after breakfast, Drive to the Dead Sea, famous for the biblical storey of Sodom and Gomorrah. Located 400 metres below sea level, the Dead Sea is one of Jordan's most spectacular sites. Marvel at the calm waters glinting in the scorching sun.

Legendary for its high concentration of salt and minerals, the Dead Sea is therapeutic and provides for a unique swimming experience. After some free time to swim, return to your hotel in Amman.

I really like this trip. Petra was fascinating . The driver was punctual,helpful and kind. We were taken to Petra, Vadi Rum and Dead Sea by a comfortable private car. The meals were delicious. It was an amazing experience to stay in a tent. I highly recommend this trip.

Had such a great experience! Everything was as promised per the description. The factor that took it above and beyond was our driver, Mohamed. Prompt, willing to go above and beyond for us (he made a special stop for us at Habibah Sweets for the best Kunafa), and just great conversation. Left Jordan with great memories and a great new friend in Mohamed.

We loved our time with Petra Magic. Communication was impeccable from the start, our guide arranged transportation to and from the airport, and was timely and accommodating on our private tour. Wadi Rum and Petra were breathtaking! An experience I will not soon forget. Bonus points for allowing us to play 50 Cent in the car as well! Overall and incredible experience. Highly recommend upgrading to private tour as well as the upgraded accommodations.
