Activity itinerary

Santuario della Madonna di Monte Berico
  • 2m
This sanctuary is the result of the union of two churches: the first fifteenth-century Gothic style and the second seventeenth-century Baroque style. In addition to the beauty of the exterior and the works of art contained inside, it offers a unique view of the city from above.
Giardino Salvi
  • 2m
Giardino Salvi is an enchanting green space located in the heart of the city. Characterised by splendid flowerbeds, fountains and a serene atmosphere, it is the ideal place for a quiet break and a relaxing walk in the greenery in the middle of the historic centre of Vicenza.
Church of San Lorenzo
  • 2m
The church of San Lorenzo, which you can see in the centre of the square of the same name, is a beautiful example of a thirteenth-century Gothic church. Built starting in 1280, it represented the main place of Franciscan worship in the city for centuries.
Cattedrale di Santa Maria Annunciata (Duomo di Vicenza)
  • 2m
An Italian national monument, this cathedral became the main church of Vicenza around the year 1000. Rebuilt several times over the centuries, it owes its current appearance to the works of the mid-fifteenth century, with the construction of the Gothic façade.
Corso Palladio
  • 2m
About 700 metres long, Corso Palladio crosses the entire historic centre of the city from west to east. Named after the Second World War after the great architect and symbol of the city, it retraces what, in Roman Vicetia, was the city decumanus, as well as the urban stretch of the ancient Via Postumia.
Loggia del Capitaniato - World Heritage Site
  • 2m
In front of the Palladian Basilica, you will notice a palace with a large loggia, interspersed with large columns. This is the Loggia del Capitaniato, or Palazzo del Capitaniato, another masterpiece by Andrea Palladio.
Basilica Palladiana (Pass by)
The very symbol of the city of Vicenza and its most representative building. An architectural masterpiece by Andrea Palladio, today the Palladian Basilica contains three exhibition spaces, including the large hall, and hosts architecture and art exhibitions every year.
Chiesa di Santa Corona (Pass by)
The church of Santa Corona has a particular name. It was in fact erected in 1260, at the request of the Municipality of Vicenza, to house a very important relic: one of the thorns from the crown of Christ, which the Blessed Bartolomeo di Breganze, bishop of Vicenza, had received as a gift from King Louis IX of France .
The Natural History and Archaeological Museum of Santa Corona (Pass by)
The archaeological nature museum is divided into two sections. The first, the naturalistic one, is dedicated to illustrating the characteristics of the territory, especially that of the Berici Hills. The second, the archaeological one, traces the history of the Vicenza area from prehistory to the time of the Lombards.
Palazzo Leoni Montanari (Pass by)
Spared from the heavy bombings of the Second World War, Palazzo Leoni Montanari became the property of the Intesa Sanpaolo group, which included it within its Gallerie d'Italia circuit, a museum centre made up of 4 museums, which contain some of the most significant of the artistic heritage owned by the banking group.
Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati (Pass by)
Palazzo Chiericati, in addition to impressing with its fascinating architecture, is a very important historical building for Vicenza. It has in fact been the historic seat of the civic museum since 1855 and, as such, houses important collections of drawings, paintings, prints, numismatics and also medieval and modern statuary.
Teatro Olimpico (Pass by)
The Olympic Theatre is not just one of the many wonders you can visit in Vicenza, but a true masterpiece, one of a kind. It is in fact the first and oldest stable covered theatre of the modern era and is still used for artistic performances: a career that has continued for over 450 years!
Santa Maria Nova, Vicenza
  • 2m
The building, attributed to the great architect Andrea Palladio and the only religious construction by the artist present in the city, has been used as a municipal warehouse since 2007. Only in 2023 was the transfer of the archives of the Bertoliana Civic Library completed, with the consequent reopening to the public .
Museo Diocesano Vicenza (Pass by)
The museum that contains the famous model of the "Jewel of Vicenza".
Torre Bissara (Pass by)
