The Bhutan Black Necked Crane Festival Tour is a stimulating journey that visits some of the country's most important cities, including Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. Additionally, we participate in the Black Necked Crane event held in Gangtey.
The eight-day Bhutan Black-Necked Crane Annual Festival journey is a revitalising journey that visits Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey/Phobjikha, and other significant cities in Bhutan. Together with the inhabitants, we participate in the Black-Necked Crane yearly event in Phobjjijkha, which gives us a glimpse into the vibrant culture of Bhutan.
This festival is not only play an important role in preserving Bhutan’s rich culture and traditions but also provide devout Buddhists with an opportunity for prayer and pilgrimage. They reflect the richness of the Bhutanese cultural heritage and are very special in the eyes and hearts of both Bhutanese and tourists who visit Bhutan.
Day 01: Arrival in Paro then transfer to Thimphu City - 1:30 hours (55km) drive
Day 02: Sightseeing tour in Thimphu
Day 03: Drive from Thimphu to Punakha and sightseeing - 2 to 3 hours (74km) drive
Day 04: Drive from Punakha to Gangtey/Phobjikha - 2 to 3 hours (85km) drive
Day 05: Attend the Black-necked Crane Festival in Gangtey Goempa
Day 06: Drive from Gangtey to Paro - 6 to 7 hours (205km) drive
Day 07: sightseeing Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (3,120m/10,236ft) - 3 to 4 hours (6.4km) hike
Day 08: Transfer to the Paro International airport – Departure
