What you can expect

From the British colony to the bustling city centre, the Cradle of Liberty is stocked with plenty of historic hotspots for you to explore. Peer into the harbour that hosted the Boston Tea Party, wander the Boston Common along the famed Freedom Trail, and browse the most prestigious of books at Harvard.

A bus or van starts your excursion from New York City, taking you through Connecticut and into Cambridge for a stopover at the oldest university in America. Take a stroll through the cobblestone campus that dates back to 1636 and watch Harvard's eager students hustle to their lectures.

When you head into Boston, pass by the Brutalist design of City Hall and stop at Copley Square to admire the beautiful 18th-century architecture of Trinity Church. Walk along the red brick path that marks a portion of the Freedom Trail as you make your way to Boston Common, the oldest park in the United States.

During a lunch break at Quincy Market, enjoy a local delicacy like a bowl of tasty clam chowder or a fresh lobster roll. Then make your way to Boston Harbour, the site of the Boston Tea Party in 1773 and now home to the USS Constitution, the oldest ship in the United States Navy. After enjoying the seaside sights, begin the scenic drive back to New York City.
