Castiglione del Lago, which stands on a promontory located on the western shore of Lake Trasimeno, on the border between Umbria and the Tuscany region. Considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Castiglione was already inhabited in Etruscan times and was subsequently enlarged under the Romans, and again by the Arezzo inhabitants in the 13th century. Together with our guide, we will take a walk in the historic centre of Castiglione del Lago and we will see some of its most important monuments and sites of interest, including the Palazzo della Corgna or Doge's Palace, Rocca del Leone, Church of Santa Maria Maddalena which preserves the Madonna Enthroned, Church of San Domenico, Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Sanctuary of the Madonna della Carraia. Afterwards we will go to a winery for a complete tasting of wines and typical local products. Finally, the last meeting point will be Città della Pieve where our guide will be waiting for us and will show us all the wonders of this splendid
small town.
