You depart from your hotel in Johannesburg and drive through the suburbs of Johannesburg north on your way to the Cradle of human kind. The Cradle of Human Kind is about 47,000 hectares and is located about 50 kilometres from Johannesburg. It is one of the 8 Places in South Africa listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. Whilst on this tour, you will visit various places including Sterkfontein Caves where the 2.3 million year old fossil Australopithecus africanus was unearthed in 1947.
