Know before you book

  • Pickup is between 5:45 AM and 6:05 AM from select Waikiki hotels, or the Kahala Hotel. You will arrange your exact pickup time from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation.
  • If your hotel is not in Waikiki, you will be responsible to arrange transport to a central pickup point in Waikiki for the start of your tour.
  • Tour pickup and/or return times may vary, depending on airline flights.
  • You must bring a government-issued photo ID or passport (international guests) to verify your name and age.

What you can expect

This is a tour unlike any other. Spend the day exploring the unique geography of Hawaii’s “Big Island”. A visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park will inform you about the seismic activity that’s been a constant on the Big Island and the culture that sprang up around it. You’ll see Mauna Loa, the world’s largest volcano, and Kilauea, the world’s most active volcano. You’ll also see other dormant volcanoes, lava beds, and steam vents while discovering the legends meant to explain these natural phenomena. While there is no guarantee of a red-hot lava flow sighting, you may see a smouldering crater or a steam vent. By the tour’s end you’ll know exactly how and why volcanoes occur. You’ll also have the opportunity to take in some unique scenery along the way. Return airfare/Return transport from Waikiki or Kahala Resort to the airport are included, ensuring a hassle-free start and end to your adventure.
