Monastery of Hosios Loukas

In Stiri, we’ll get to admire the 11th-century monastery of Osios Loucas, which is listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
Delphi

We’ll afterwards visit ancient Delphi to admire the famous oracle. During the 8th century B.C. Delphi became internationally known for the oracular powers of Pythia, the priestess and no major decision was made if the oracle wasn’t consulted first.
Ancient Stadium

The Stadium of Delphi lies on the highest spot of the Archaeological Site of Delphi. It overlooks the sanctuary of Apollo and has a view to the Delphic landscape. It was built either within the second half of the 4th century B.C. or even after the Galatian attacks.
Delphi Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Delphi presents the history of the famous Delphic sanctuary and the most prominent Oracle of the ancient Greek world. The collection of the museum presents some of the most important works of ancient Greek art, covering the period from the 2nd millennium BC, before the foundation of the Sanctuary, until Late Antiquity, when a small Christian community was established in Delphi.
Parnassos
We’ll then continue our drive, crossing mount ParnassosMount Parnassus is a mountain range in central Greece that is, and historically has been, especially valuable to the Greek nation and the earlier Greek city-states for many reasons. In peace, it offers scenic views of the countryside, being a major international recreational site with views of mountain landscapes.

Trikala is a city in northwestern Thessaly, Greece, and the capital of the Trikala regional unit. The city straddles the Lithaios River, which is a tributary of Pineios.
Karditsa
Karditsa is a city in western Thessaly in mainland Greece. The city of Karditsa is the capital of Karditsa regional unit of region of Thessaly. Inhabitation is attested from 9000 BC. Karditsa ls linked with GR-30, the road to Karpenisi, and the road to Palamas and Larissa.

Early in the morning of the second day, we’ll visit serene and spiritual Meteora and the monasteries located there. Each one steeped in history and of great beauty.
Thermopylae

On the way back, we’ll make a stop at Thermopylae, primarily known for the battle that was held there during the Greco-Persian wars. The famous 300 Spartans and their king Leonidas faced Xerxes’ vast cavalry and infantry force.
