You can choose to take the tour with the “Villas of Rome with Coppedè” option, and be enchanted by Coppedè district; or include the visit with audio guide inside the Catacombs of the Capuchin Friars, by selecting the “Villas of Rome with catacombs” option.
It is important to know that to reach Coppedè district you will not ride on cycle paths but on roads open to car traffic. Participants must be confident with riding on open car traffic streets.

  • The length of the tour is 13 kilometres (8 miles). The level is easy but it requires a minimum of cycling experience (intermediate with a child seat or child extension).
  • Around 95% of this tour takes place in the Villa Borghese Park, Villa Ada and Tiber cycle path. There is no car traffic.
  • Infants up to 20kg travelling on a child seat, come on the tour free of charge
  • Children up to 139cm join the tour with a child extension
  • Children from 140cm and above can independently ride an E-bike
  • Riding an electric bike is fun and easy: whenever you start to feel tired, you can get a boost from the eco-friendly motor to overcome a hill.

The temple is situated in the middle of the small island on the artificial lake in Villa Borghese. At that time, in fact, reproductions of ancient temples and statues were realised as a decorative landscape feature. Orologio ad Acqua

The inventor Giovan Battista Embriaco built this hydrochronometer (also known as a water clock) in 1867 and displayed it at the 1867 Universal Exposition in Paris. In 1873, the hydrochronometer was placed in the Villa Borghese gardens in a fountain designed by the architect Gioacchino Ersoch. The water clock works 24/7.
