What you can expect

Take time to explore the natural beauty of El Yunque Rainforest during four hours approximately, in a completely off the beaten track way. You will be captivated with its lush green vegetation, amazing flora and fauna, breathtaking views, and gorgeous natural pools.

Initial hike will take 30 minutes before reaching the river where you will need to scale down thru the trees, always with the companionship of your certified tour guide. Allow yourself to be immersed in a wild secluded paradise in the middle of the rainforest, as you are mesmerised by Mother Nature’s amazing beauty at its best. At this first stop you will have the opportunity to swim or swing from a rope into it's pristine waters. Also great for picture opportunities! Your guide will share valuable information from this unique ecosystem, its flora and faura, natural history, geology and information about Puerto Rico in general.

We will then proceed to move to the next area, which will require a more strenuous hike and rock climbing. Arrive to it's best kept secret; another set of natural pools, waterfall and waterslides. Here you can cliff jump, enjoy from the natural waterslides and swim leisurely. At the same time you will be fully infused with the vibrating energy of El Yunque rivers and fresh clean air, just like the indigenous Taino Indians did centuries ago.

After tour concludes we will return thru the same way we arrived. We will then make a stop for an authentic Puerto Rican Lunch (food cost not incldued) before we head back to San Juan.

Our guide, Jason, was an excellent host. We were treated like “familia” for the full day! All apprehensions about venturing into the rainforest were addressed on the shuttle ride. I appreciated presentation of the daily timeline as much as the safety review and question and answer session. We had a large 23-person group, we conquered the hike, and three “obstacles” together. The sharing of photos and videos (at no additional charge) was a bonus surprise. Thumbs up to the whole booking, pick-up, hiking & lunch experience!

Nice family day trip from Condado. 10 am pick up and we didn’t arrive until after noon but the activity was great with nice weather. Although the water was cold in this season, waterfall slide, cliff jumping and rope swing were fun! So many people there tho. Thank you Jason!

We had Jorge, Jay and Mitchell as our tour guides and they made the tour fun and safe. Before we got there they took note of who could swim and who couldn’t so when it was time for the water activities they took extra precautions. They made sure everyone was okay throughout the whole tour and asked if we needed to take breaks. They had very outgoing personalities making everyone feel welcomed and we even stopped at some local spots for food and souvenirs.

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Frankie’s love of the rainforest and Puerto Rico is infectious. You should know that this is an adventure and not for those looking for a leisurely walk. If you’re in the right gear and right attitude this is for you. Truly a must do
