Overview

Join us in a unique tour through the ages and explore the other side of the city. We will visit neighbourhoods like Topanas, Splantzia, Kolombo, and Kasteli, high spots to admire the panoramic view of the harbour, traditional Cretan taverns, and magnificent buildings.

Also, we will visit the ancient ruins of the greatest Minoan city, Kydonia, and the high walls of the Venetian moats, called “Tafros”. Learn about the ancient city of Aptera. Our first stop after an interesting drive up will be the ‘’Ancient site of Ap-tera’’ and ‘’fortress of Koules’’. Explore the Roman cisterns, the monastery, the picturesque church, and the absolutely beautiful ancient theatre that still remains. At the archaeological site of Aptera, you will be able to admire findings of all periods of inhabitation of this City-State. The walls of the ancient city, which is 3.480 metres long, dating back to its acne period, of the 4th century BC. Afterwards, we have time to take magnificent photos of the view to Souda Bay from the Fortress of Koules. The view from there is absolutely breathtaking! Time spending there is about 1h30m.
