It was said the limestone forming Batu Caves to be around 400 million years old and yet it was promoted as a place of worship by India religion. A great landmark icon for photo taking especially with the rainbow coloured steps up to the hill.

Merdeka Square

The huge open square, where Malaysian independence was declared in 1957 This is where Malaysia declare their independence on the midnight of 30th August 1957 and thus, 31st Aug is the day we celebrate our National Independence day. Since then, this place is the usual venue for annual National Day Parade. A 95-metre flagpole, one of the tallest in the world, is located at the southern end of the square. Again, nice place for photo taking with the building architecture in KL that represent Malaysia.

National Mosque (Masjid Negara)

Striking modern Mosque The mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent Malaysia. It has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres (53,000 m2) of gardens. A great stop for photo taking. Non-Muslims are welcome to visit the striking National Mosque outside of prayer time. This modern mosque was completed in 1965.Robes are kindly lent to visitors who are inappropriately dressed.
Thean Hou Temple

Thean Hou Temple is one of the oldest and largest temples in Southeast Asia This ornate Chinese temple dedicated to the Queen of Heaven, Thean Hou, protectorate of people who make their living from the sea. The temple borrows from Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian traditions. Some visitors believe the panoramic views of KL alone make the trip up the hill worthwhile.
Sri Maha Mariamman Temple
