Overview

This breathtaking hike will take you to the highest peak of Mount Gennargentu in the heart of Sardinia: Punta La Marmora.
It will be an immersive adventure, marked by silence from the moment you visit the nuragic village of Ruinas at the beginning of the trail. You will reach the height of 1834 metres through ancient scree and wild trails that smell of Mediterranean scrub, far from the distractions of daily routine, beaten paths and the whirlpools of time. All the effort will be repaid at the top, surrounded by spectacular 360-degree views stretching to the blue sea, where you will taste the products that our ancestors consumed daily as a meal. 
You will live an experience where you will find precious details of past life such as silence and connection with nature, the slowness of time and the authenticity of the products.

  • From the meeting point, you will drive your car to the beginning of the trail that lies at the foot of the Ruinas Nuragic Village, about a 45-minute drive. The road is mostly paved, but winding. On the way there are 2 km of dirt road, but in excellent condition.
  • This experience is not suitable for those who are not used to walking in the mountains,
  • Children can participate if they are already used to hiking.
  • Those who are not used to being at high altitude may experience pressure problems.
  • The main difficulty of this hike lies in the type of terrain in which you walk characterised by boulders.
