What you can expect

Visit Pilanesberg Game Reserve on a full-day safari from Johannesburg, where over 7000 animals roam freely. Have the chance to see big 5 game animals (elephants, rhinos, leopards, buffalos, and lions). Enjoy 2 extensive game drives in a jeep with a guide and a delicious lunch.
Be picked up from your hotel in Johannesburg in the early morning and relax on the 2.5-hour drive to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Follow your guide on a drive to encounter animals like zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, jackals, antelopes, and over 300 species of birds. A total of 4.5 to 5 hours are spent on Game Drives.

During the heat of the day, sit down for an hour-long delectable lunch at one of the many rest camps in the Game Reserve. After lunch, depart on an afternoon safari drive in an open vehicle. Ask your guide any questions you might have about the animals and the natural environment.
Leave Pilanesberg in the late afternoon to get back to your hotel in Johannesburg before sunset.

Great day trip, well coordinated with pick up and drop off from hotel. Beautiful reserve and fantastic to see such incredible animals up close. Would highly suggest bringing a really good camera with zoom and/or binoculars to make the most of the day. Also suggest loading up on snacks as the available food out in the park is quite expensive.

Amazing experience! Our guide Soli was incredible and friendly, he drived us to all the places possible and we could appreciate some wild life and its nature! Don't miss it!! Pick up and return were on time. Lunch was delicious and we got visitors as Impalas, Gnus and an Elephant!! Just fantastic!!

The tour was great. We managed to see 3 of big 5 - leopards, elephants, rhinos, but no lions and buffalos. The organization of the trip was very precise, everything was on time. Our driver, Thomas, was full of humor and energy. Many thanks!

Overall, I think that Johannesburg tour was OK. It was very long. It was certain times that they were. We didn’t really see much of the animals, but it was well worth it so I enjoyed it. And driver at safari was great
