Stroll under large holm oaks and through dense Mediterranean shrubs which line the walls of Mount Oddeu up to the rocky ravine's arresting entrance. Step into Gorropu Gorge and admire the majestic and steep walls of Italy's deepest canyon.

Take some nature photographs as you hear small waterfalls and the chirping of swallows. Search for the purple Aquilegia Nuragica plant which is a an endemic species to the Gorropu Canyon. Keep an eye on the skies for the chance to spot g golden eagles silhouetted in pairs against Supramonte.

View many of the old specimens of mock privets (Phillyrea Latifolia) and yews (Taxus Baccata) buttressing the gorge's slopes. Descend deeper into the canyon and muscle your way between massive boulders. Stop for a break where you can eat the packed lunch that you brought.
