The capital of Upper Mustang is Lo Manthang, a walled city with a royal palace and a timeless atmosphere. The people of Upper Mustang have preserved their distinct Tibetan culture and lifestyle, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in exploring a preserved ancient way of life.

The trek to Upper Mustang offers stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, as well as a chance to witness the unique blend of Tibetan and Nepali cultures in this isolated and captivating region.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Pokhara to Kagbeni

Morning: Depart from Pokhara in a 4x4 Jeep.
En route visit Beni, the district headquarters.
Continue to Kagbeni, the gateway to Upper Mustang.
Evening: Explore Kagbeni village and its surroundings.
Overnight stay in Kagbeni.
Day 2: Kagbeni to Chele

Morning: Obtain necessary permits to enter Upper Mustang.
Drive to Chele, passing through Tangbe and Chhusang.
Visit Chhusang's red and white cliffs.
Explore Chele village in the evening.
Overnight stay in Chele.
Day 3: Chele to Charang

Drive to Charang via Syanbochen and Yamda La pass.
Visit the Ghami La pass, Ghami village, and its ancient monastery.
Continue to Charang and explore the village.
Overnight stay in Charang.
Day 4: Charang to Lo-Manthang

Drive to Lo-Manthang, the capital of Upper Mustang.
Explore the walled city and visit the King's Palace, monasteries, and local markets.
Enjoy the unique culture and architecture of Lo-Manthang.
Overnight stay in Lo-Manthang.
Day 5: Lo-Manthang to Pokhara

Morning: Drive back to Pokhara.
