What you can expect
This day trip wildlife safari will take you to visit and explore one of the biggest game reserves in Africa. The park combined home of the deadliest Africa Giants (Lion, buffalo, leopard, and elephant), spectacular birds, and reptiles which is every African adventurer desire to witness.
Your programme starts very early in the morning at around 5:30 am with the move from hotel to the airport, Karume International airport. You will have a coffee at the Airport to of one the restaurant there, The flight will depart at 7:00 am then just after an hour you will be arriving at Selous game reserve ready for full game drive activity. You will have lunch over there and at around 4:30 pm you will be moving back to Zanzibar island.
The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest remaining wilderness areas in Africa, with relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including a diverse range of wildlife with significant predator/prey relationships.
The Selous Game Reserve, covering 50,000 square kilometres, is amongst the largest protected areas in Africa and is relatively undisturbed by human impact. The property harbours one of the most significant concentrations of elephant, black rhinoceros, cheetah, giraffe, hippopotamus, and crocodile, amongst many other species. The reserve also has an exceptionally high variety of habitats including Miombo woodlands, open grasslands, riverine forests, and swamps, making it a valuable laboratory for ongoing ecological and biological processes.
