Let's go see the wonders of nature... Famous because of the film Wonder Woman. The 10 kilometres long natural white dunes. If time enough we have a quick stop.

Betancuria

Visit with us the oldest and first capital of Fuerteventura. Time to stroll around and visit the Santa Maria Cathedral, which is now a museum. They do ask for a donation of 2€.

Popcorn Playa

See the famous popcorn beaches and listen to the guide's storey about this phenomenon. Great photo stop.

Molino de Tefia (Pass by)

The agricultural prison colony of Tefía was a concentration camp during the Franco dictatorship, located in the village of Tefía, belonging to the municipality of Puerto del Rosario. It was active between 1954 and 1966 and served for the incarceration of ordinary and political prisoners, and for the re-education of male homosexuals. Also the place where the first airport (1930) was and the first tourists arrived.

We drive past the young capital(1862), actually through the centre and along the most important port in Fuerteventura. We have a photo stop on the port and the lovely beach playa chica … If high tide we go to the natural swimming pool of the El Charco area in Puerto del Rosario!! The guide will of course also tell you the very interesting stories here.

Tarajalejo (Pass by)

During the 17th and 18th centuries, the port of Tarajalejo became the fourth most important pier in Fuerteventura and the second in the south of the island. Tequital (Pass by)

Pajara (Pass by)

Pájara is one of the oldest towns in Fuerteventura and was a very early settlement of Betancuria. It survived the complete destruction during the Arab invasion of 1593, when all of Betancuria was reduced to dust. The town takes its name from the hen pheasant, as seen on its coat of arms.
