This Nature Reserve is located a few minutes from Cartagena. Transition forest from dry to wet, or it could be called gallery forest within the realm of dry forest, microclimate and vegetation made up of centenary trees. It works as an oasis for local and migratory fauna.

It is the refuge of birds (160 species approximately) and some of the birds that you can find in this beautiful place are Caribbean guacharaca, colirrufo jacamar, ferina ravine, dotted booby, brown blackbird, tiles, among many others . In times of migration, you can see species that come from North America such as: reigns, migratory Tyranids, summer tanager.

The area is also characterised by being an open area where you can see flytraps, Siriríes, torcazas, tortolitas, cucaracheros, swallows, parakeets, yellow-legged horns and jumping spikes, among other species . Also, as a great attraction, we are going to find Red Howler Monkeys , known as a fungus monkey; There is an estimated population of 150 individuals, distributed in about 12 herds.
