Your adventure begins early as our guide meets you at your hotel in Tirana. You’ll head north, venturing deep into one of Albania’s most rural villages, with stunning views of towering peaks and lush greenery along the way. The first stop is Thora Pass (1,700m), where you’ll marvel at panoramic vistas of the Albanian Alps before descending a scenic road framed by dense forests.
Arriving in Theth, your hike starts with a visit to the village’s church, followed by the Lock Tower, where you’ll uncover the history of Lek Dukagjini’s Kanun, a medieval code that shaped Albanian tradition. From there, a one-hour hike through forest trails and alongside the Theth River brings you to the breathtaking Grunasi Waterfall, plunging 30 metres from the mountains. After soaking in nature’s beauty, you’ll return to the village to savour a delicious local meal, with Theth’s renowned fresh organic products.
