Situated about 50km from Hanoi, Tho Ha traditional village is such a stunning place of Gom Sanh (Pottery without glaze fired with dry grass, and then firewood and coal). In this traditional village, you will have a chance to know why it has attracted many film producers, painters, and photographers by experiencing a real country life with the special brick walls and traditional craft.
You will be picked up at your hotel at 9.a.m and transferred to Bac Giang province. It will take you more than one hour. You will also cross Cau River by local ferry, where you will walk around to visit local families of Tho Ha village and know more about the local culture as well as talk and observe the local with their daily works.
You will explore Tho Ha village through narrow and complicated alleys with the ancient houses that had been built from broken part of terracotta from the past. When walking past the village cemetery to reach the dike, you will catch a good opportunity to watch the village from distance over the beautiful lake. Tho Ha, whose special brick walls have attracted many film producers, painters, photographers is now famous for rice wine or cassava wine and rice paper cakes.
After having lunch at a local host, you will move to visit one pottery family and workshop.
On the way back Hanoi, you can make a stop at Dong Ky wood carving village. After visiting Dong Ky village, you will head back to your hotel in Hanoi. Your trip will end at your hotel at about 3.30pm.
