Enoshima Benzaiten Nakamisedori

Enoshima Benzaiten Nakamise Dori is a historic shopping street that runs along the approach from the Enoshima Bodai no Torii, the entrance to Enoshima, to the vermilion torii of Ejima Shrine. The street is visited by many tourists throughout the year with an increasing number of stores that have remained unchanged from the past, as well as new stores. Along the narrow, gently ascending road, 2.75 metres wide and unchanged since the Edo period, there are various stores selling famous shirasu rice bowls and seafood, Enoshima's speciality, tako senbei (octopus crackers), manju (sweet buns), souvenir stores, and inns, always crowded with many tourists. Enoshima Shrine is located on Enoshima Island and is known for its long history and beautiful scenery.
