After picking you up at the hotel (Historic Centre) at 9:00 a.m., we will begin our guided tour of the White City of Arequipa. During the tour we will discover where this nickname comes from, while we admire its constructions with volcanic stone and ashlar that recall the traditional architecture of the Andalusian towns.
We will go to the Plaza de Armas to admire the Arequipa Cathedral and the Church and Cloisters of the Company of Jesus. We will also stop at the Bronce and Cabezona dairy farms, places where trade developed with barter as a means of payment.
Our last stop will be the Monastery of Saint Catherine of Siena, a small walled citadel built as a cloistered nunnery. During the guided tour of the convent, we will discover some of the legends hidden behind its walls, we will go through its impressive cloisters and gardens, and we will admire its rich art gallery.
The tour will end at your hotel or any other point in the centre of Arequipa that you prefer, at approximately 1:00 p.m.
