Stroll through Hallstatt’s Old Town – admire pastel-colored houses, charming cafés, and traditional Austrian architecture. Visit the Market Square (Marktplatz) with its lovely central fountain and surrounding historic buildings. You may take a short funicular ride up to the Skywalk, where you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Dachstein Alps and Lake Hallstatt. Stop at the Bone House (Beinhaus) in St. Michael’s Chapel – home to a unique collection of decorated skulls. (It is very easy to explore Hallstatt’s Old Town on your own.)

Depart Hallstatt and embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive towards Salzburg, passing by Lake Wolfgang (Wolfgangsee) and the idyllic village of St. Gilgen (Mozart’s mother's birthplace). Arrive in Salzburg. Check-in at a very comfortable hotel. Free time to relax at the hotel or take a leisurely walk along the Salzach River.
