Feel welcomed to the stunning Serra da Lousã, a hidden gem in Portugal where tradition intertwines with the majesty of nature. It is with great pleasure that we present to you the Schyst Villages trail, a hike that will take you on a fascinating journey through the authentic schyst villages that dot this unique landscape.

Our adventure begins at the historic Castle of Lousã, a fortress dating back to the 11th century, steeped in history and offering panoramic views of the surrounding beauty. From there, we head to the charming village of Talasnal where we will have a well-deserved brake to taste some of the best regional products. The next stop will be in the small village Chiqueiro, then descend through Casal Novo, before returning to the Castle.
