This is a 10 kilometre hike starting and ending in the picturesque village of Piodão, nestled in Portugal's Serra do Açor mountains. This scenic journey, lasting approximately 5 hours, showcases the region's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Passing through two charming hamlets, Foz de Égua and Chãs de Égua.
The trail offers glimpses of terraced fields, olive and chestnut trees, and some cascades of the river that will make company in our trail. Foz de Égua stands out as one of the region's most beautiful villages, boasting traditional architecture and stunning surroundings.
Along the way, you'll encounter ancient stone bridges, hidden chapels, and panoramic views of the mountains. The warmth and hospitality of the locals add to the experience, with friendly greetings along the path. As you return to Piodão, you'll carry memories of an unforgettable journey through Portugal's captivating landscapes.
